RRR Demands Removal of Ex CID Cheif Over Caste Comments

At a time when the Andhra Pradesh government is seriously pursuing his custodial torture case, former MP and current Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju continues his individual fight against ex- CID chief PV Sunil Kumar, who is currently under suspension. 

RRR is now reportedly going to file a representation with the Secretary of Department of Personnel and Training ( DOPT) to remove PV Sunil Kumar from service for his recent comments which he believe go against the conduct rules of Central Civil Services. The basis for RRR’s complaint is a purported video in which PV Sunil Kumar was found talking about caste and politics at a public gathering. 

In the video, PV Sunil Kumar, while addressing a crowd, urged people from Kapu community and Dalits to unite for a common cause to emerge as a strong political power in the upcoming days. He said a Kapu leader will become a CM and a Dalit leader will be his deputy for five years if both Kapus and Dalits work together. His shocking comments have gone viral all over social media and stirred up a controversy. 

RRR objected Sunil Kumar’s remarks and alleged that he breached the conduct rules prescribed for Central Civil Service employee. He demanded an immediate disciplinary action by DOPT on Sunil Kumar for his inflammatory language and also making politically motivated comments despite being a Civil Servant. 

RRR exhorted the state government and DOPT to take stringent action against Sunil Kumar who is still in service though under suspension over several charges in the custodial torture case. He said he will complain to both DOPT and Govt. Of India with the video featuring Sunil Kumar’s controversial speech, requesting them an immediate intervention. 

RRR alleged that the previous government intentionally diluted his earlier complaint on a similar grounds to DOPT which sought comments from the state.
