Chatta Satish of Kondagattu village in Jagital district, Telangana, announced that he would not wear footwear again until he meets Pawan Kalyan in person. On Wednesday evening he visited Mangalagiri to meet Pawan Kalyan, now Deputy Chief Minister and President of JanaSena Party, to show his deep respect and admiration.
Satish has been an active member of JanaSena youth wing and participated eagerly in many party activities. He is deeply impressed by Pawan Kalyan’s vision of politics that tries to unite castes, avoids communal or religious divisions, rejects narrow regionalism and embraces a broader national perspective. On 22 January 2024, the day of Ram Lalla’s consecration in Ayodhya, Satish solemnly vowed that he would not wear footwear again until Pawan Kalyan wins and comes to power. He wanted to put on his shoes only after personally meeting him and showing his support.
When the NDA secured a decisive victory in the elections and JanaSena achieved a full strike rate, Satish was overjoyed. But since then they had not met. Finally on Wednesday he travelled to Mangalagiri and recalled how he had followed Pawan Kalyan’s speeches regularly and remembered the earlier time when Pawan Kalyan visited Kondagattu. Satish said that the admiration was not just personal but inspired by the party’s principles. At the meeting he submitted a memorandum requesting basic infrastructure for pilgrims visiting the holy area in Kondagattu. Moved by Satish’s sincere devotion, Pawan Kalyan presented him a memento.
