Up until 2019, YS Jagan and his sister Sharmila had a very close singling bonding. In fact, it was Sharmila, who led the election campaign for Jagan’s YCP before the 2019 election and many believe she had a significant role to play in Jagan’s rise to power.
Things have changed drastically in the recent past, and it has now reached a point where Jagan is not even wishing Sharmila publicly even on her birthday.
Incidentally, Sharmila celebrated her birthday on December 17, and she was greeted by the likes of Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu, deputy CM Kalyan and IT minister Lokesh. However, she was not greeted by her own brother, Jagan who again decided to avoid his sister even on the special occasion.
It must be noted that it has been a while since Jagan wished Sharmila on her birthday as things have taken a dramatic turn between them. They’ve even been waging legal battles against each other over Saraswati power company shares and other property distribution problems.
The irony is that Sharmila was wished by her generational political counterpart Chandrababu while her own brother Jagan took no interesting the same, as shocking as it may sound. But again, Jagan hadn’t been wishing Sharmila for the last few years after property disputes broke out.
