Former Telangana CM and BRS Chief KCR has once again shown that he does not consider CM Revanth Reddy as his main political rival. While attacking the Congress government, KCR did not mention Revanth Reddy’s name even once.
After a long gap, KCR met BRS MLAs, MPs, and senior leaders at Telangana Bhavan. He spoke about the political situation in the state, the recent Panchayat elections, and the working style of the Congress government. Throughout the meeting, he avoided naming the Chief Minister.
This approach is not new. From the time Revanth Reddy entered state level politics, KCR has rarely treated him as a direct opponent. Even during the last Assembly elections, KCR used indirect comments and sarcasm instead of openly attacking Revanth. This attitude has not changed even after Revanth Reddy won a big victory and became Chief Minister.
KCR accused the Congress government of behaving arrogantly and focusing more on political fights than on governance. He said the recent local body elections showed public anger against the ruling party. According to him, BRS backed candidates performed well even without party symbols.
Defending his own rule, KCR said his government never acted with arrogance despite being in power for ten years. He claimed the present government was aggressive and insecure. He also thanked party workers for their efforts in the Panchayat elections.
KCR also responded to personal attacks against him. He said some leaders were openly wishing for his death and called it an example of the Congress party’s political culture. Still, he said he chose to remain calm and trusted the public to judge the situation.
What stood out most was KCR’s silence on Revanth Reddy. By avoiding his name again, KCR showed that his view of the Chief Minister has not changed. For him, the fight is with the Congress party, not with the person leading it.
Even after the change in power, KCR’s approach towards Revanth Reddy remains exactly the same.
