Even Ordinary Bus Should Have AC – Naidu’s Order

Under the leadership of CM Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh government is investing heavily in renewable energy resources. While several green energy companies have already established understandings with the government, CM Babu is now orchestrating a smooth transition.

In this context, something interesting has emerged as the Chief Minister spoke briefly about the upcoming procurement of electric buses in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister pointed out that Andhra Pradesh must have an extensive EV bus fleet starting very soon. He stated that every EV bus, including the Palle Velugu line buses, must mandatorily have an AC facility from now on.

The government is committed to procuring 1,450 EV buses in the coming financial year, and Chandrababu made it very clear that every single bus, including the Palle Velugu edition, must have inbuilt air conditioning.

The point that must be noted here is that Palle Velugu buses have historically been infamous for poor condition and very basic facilities. But now, Chief Minister Chandrababu has come up with an ambitious plan to upgrade even these rural line buses into EVs and, more importantly, equip them with AC.

It would be an overwhelming experience for the rural population to travel in AC Palle Velugu buses, and once that happens, Babu’s impact in rural pockets could grow significantly.
