Every year, the Indian delegation led by multiple chief ministers from states across the country travel to Davos, Switzerland for the popular WEF summit. While veterans, Chandrababu know their way around the summit with years of experience, other CMs often face complaints of ineffective follow up measures on the MOUs signed at this summit.
Interestingly enough, first time chief minister Revanth Reddy has addressed the crucial issue with utmost precision as he is currently partaking at the same Davos summit.
Revanth pointed out that it is crucial to hold a follow-up meeting in India to discuss the progress of the understandings and agreements signed at the Davos summit.
Stating that one year is a very long time for follow-ups in modern business cycles and investment decision-making, the Chief Minister proposed that the WEF can organize an annual follow-up forum. He proposed either in July or August timeline for the follow up summit and happily invited to Hyderabad.
“I request you to join me in making this happen and to bring a July WEF Forum to Hyderabad” Revanth Reddy stated.
This is a very interesting and current proposal made by the Telangana CM as this would give a clear track on the progress of the Davos summit investments and also educate the public about the prominence of the project.
More importantly, if the WEF really approves to come to Hyderabad, then it would be a proper global ceremony that would put the city on the global index. So this is a win-win situation for Telangana. And Revanth Reddy’s maturity in proposing the same should be appreciated here.
