Andhra Pradesh politics are under undergoing a significant transition period with Lokesh getting elevated prominence at the administrative level and top leadership. However, he is evidently committed to serving unconditionally under his father and the CM of AP, Chandrababu Naidu.
An interesting incident happened today, while Lokesh was authorising the Parliamentary meeting of TDP today and here’s a look into the same.
While initiating his speech, Lokesh asserted the leadership of CM Babu as he chanted “Chandrababu gaari nayakathvam.” and added “Johan NTR”. Shortly after this slogan from Lokesh, an excited TDP supporter shouted “Lokesh Anna Nayakathvam”.
This slogan from the TDP supporter is perhaps in view of the power transition that’s happening in favor of Lokesh at the higher level. However, Lokesh was having none of it as he immediately reprimanded the TDP activist.
“There is only one leadership here and that is Chandrababu garu’s leadership. He is the commander in chief, and we are the troops. There will be no other leadership here.” Lokesh said. He even made a funny joke out of it by saying “It looks like you(TDP activist) are looking to get me fired my position first.”
This hearty conversation between Lokesh and the TDP activist is indirectly implicative, it appears. On one hand, there has been a narrative that is being rubbed to make it seem like Lokesh would be made the CM very soon.
But it appears that Lokesh himself is aware of the situation and has made it clear that his father Chandrababu is the designated leader and there are no second thoughts.
