YCP Brings Caste Angle Into Ambati’s Arrest!

The arrest of YCP Senior Ambati Rambabu is being welcomed by the larger section of the population on social media as he used words like “Chandrababu Amma Mogudu” and “Lan*akodakallara” to abuse Babu and TDP cadres. 

And as expected, YSR Congress is looking to divert the issue into a casteist angle by labelling Ambati Rambabu as a Kapu community individual and saying this is an act of vengeance from the government against the Kapu community. 

Fundamentally speaking, being a kapu or a man from any religion doesn’t grant anyone the right to call the opposite person “Amma Mogudu” or “Lan*akodaka”, let alone the chief minister of the state. Such abusive behaviour needs to be reprimanded, and that is exactly what is happening now, and it is strange to see YCP bring caste angle into this. 

On the other hand, an old video of Ambati Rambabu is now going viral on social media. This is a clipping from an interview that he had given a few years back where he said Kapu community people lack sense and they are serial liquor drinkers and eat excessive non-veg. He even labelled this as a useless community, saying he too belongs to this community and knows them inside out. 

Ambati Rambabu used extremely detrimental and rudimentary language against his own Kapu community and it is strange to see YCP looking to use the same Kapu card against his arrest now, remarked a neutral observer.
