Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is preparing for his first ever election campaign as the Tamil Nadu assembly elections are barely three months from now. Meanwhile, the actor turned to politician has started to repair the arena for his political aspirations as his party has reportedly started accepting applications for MLA tickets.
Reportedly anyone can procure this application form from the TVK headquarters by paying ₹100. The completed application with all the necessary details must be sent back to the headquarters with a demand draft for ₹10,000.
This would essentially mean that the application for the MLA ticket from TVK would cost ₹10,000. This must be a financial measure to assess the expenditure capability of the candidate and is done by all major political parties. There is nothing different about this, as TVK is following a standard procedure.
Now that Vijay has officially communicated that his party would be contesting in all 234 constituencies across Tamil Nadu, there should be a lot of demand for some of the high profile assembly constituencies.
Meanwhile, Vijay himself is reportedly considering multiple constituencies, including Velachery, Virugambakkam, Vikravandi and Nagapattinam.
