Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has formed a very stable Congress government in Telangana, and this is reflecting in all the elections that are being held in the state. After the earlier victories in the Secunderabad Cantonment and Jubilee Hills, Assembly By election, Congress has now swept the municipal polls.
Coming to the latest numbers regarding the Telangana municipal election, Congress wave is being observed across the state.
Out of the 116 municipalities in Telangana, Congress has already secured 64. There is a hung situation in 38 municipalities, which can go anyway. BRS has managed to secure just 13 municipalities, which is a significantly poor performance from the previous term.
Coming to the municipal ward numbers, Congress is against significantly ahead of the competitors. Out of the 2582 wards, Congress won 1347. BRS manage to secure nearly half of this by winning 717 wards. BJP also performed reasonably well by securing 261.
The outcome of the municipalities which are currently witnessing Hung situation will be determined at a point in time, but as things stand, it is Congress, which is ahead in the race.
