#GHMCResults: #Bhagyanagar trends on social media

With the motto to instigate the Hindu voters in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the BJP has called for a change of the city name to Bhagyanagar. With this same slogan they went for the GHMC elections and in fact many national level BJP leaders have addressed Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar and even promised to eliminate the Rohingya Muslims and Paksitanis from the Old City.

In the early trends of the GHMC elections counting, BJP took a huge lead in 90 divisions. On many occasions, the trend would be the result as well and so many especially the netizens thought the BJP is going to win the GHMC Elections without any second thought.

Immediately the social media was abuzz with comments and the pro-BJP followers were using the hashtag #Bhagyanagar in their comments. And so this hashtag is trending and some even commented that if BJP bags GHMC Mayor seat, for sure the city’s name would be changed to Bhagyanagar.

Seeing the trends BJP National Generay Secretary BL Santhosh tweeted addressing Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar. “WELDONE BHAGYANAGAR ……!!!! Great going team @BJP4Telangana You made a mark,” tweeted Santhosh.

However post 12 Noon, the trends changed and TRS is leading in nearly 30 divisions but the counting would take more time than anticipated because the elections took place in a ballot method.
