Hope Restored as Lokesh Resolves RDT Funding Crisis

In a major relief for thousands of underprivileged families, the long-standing issues faced by the Rural Development Trust (RDT) have finally been resolved. Minister Nara Lokesh played a key role in ensuring that the organization can continue its services without disruption.

RDT has been a lifeline for many poor communities for decades. It provides education to children who cannot afford schooling, healthcare for those who struggle to access treatment, and livelihood opportunities for rural families. For many, it is not just an organization but a source of hope and survival.

However, the trust recently faced a major setback when foreign funding was halted under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. This created uncertainty around the continuation of its services, affecting thousands who depend on it.

RDT representative Mancho Ferrer brought the issue to Lokesh’s attention. Responding quickly, Lokesh assured support and took the matter to central authorities. After discussions and efforts at multiple levels, the restrictions were lifted, allowing funds to flow again.

Following this development, Ferrer personally met Lokesh to express gratitude. He said the thanks were not just from the organization, but from the lakhs of people whose lives have been touched by RDT’s work.

Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said his role was small compared to the decades of service provided by RDT. He appreciated the trust’s dedication to improving lives through education, healthcare, and skill development.

With funding restored, RDT can now continue its mission, bringing relief and renewed hope to countless families across the region.
