Kalvakuntla Kavitha will be starting her new Political Party on April 25th at a Function Hall near Munirabad, Medchal. She will unveil the party flag and officially announce the party’s name, agenda, and policies.
Kavitha is operating interestingly. Despite coming from the Agitation Background, she is trying to connect with Youth, Working People, and Middle Class.
In recent interviews, she has been speaking about the Job losses due to AI and is questioning about the preparation of the Government about it.
The other day, she questioned how employees who are laid-off are being taxed at the very moment they lose their source of income and when financial vulnerability is at its peak.
For those who do not know, Severance packages (Compensations paid after Layoffs) can be taxed under the head, “profits in lieu of salary” as per the Income Tax Act, 1961. Several MNCs are resorting to massive layoffs these days due to AI. Several families are under distress.
Kavitha has asked a very right question.
She requested the Finance Minister for a relaxation.”There is a compelling case for granting a complete, temporary tax exemption on severance packages for individuals affected by such layoffs. This would ensure that impacted families retain the full financial cushion intended to support them during a period of transition and uncertainty,” she wrote.
Today, she called for a Pressmeet to question about the ballooning school fees in the state. The academic year is completed and the schools will have a brief session before the Summer Holidays.
They will squeeze the First Term fee from the Parents before the Summer Holidays. Kavitha has questioned how the Middle-Class can survive if School Fees are being hiked 30-40% every year while the salaries are not growing and inflation is at peaks.
She has also questioned about the daylight robberies of few big institutions in the name of Fees, Books Fees, and Uniforms.
Kavitha is trying to be the voice of the Middle-Class and is asking very relevant questions.
Usually, Politicians do speak only about the problems of the Poor and the Rich can tend themselves. Usually, Middle-Class is not represented by the Politicians. Kavitha is rightly picking those subjects.
