Richest Ministers In India: 8 Of 10 From South!

Having substantial financial banking is one of the fundamental requirements for politicians these days. In accordance with this Indian politics are witnessing a wave of some of the wealthiest people in the country. 

For now, let us have a look at the top 10 richest minister in India, including the state and central cabinets. 

1. Chandra Shekhar Pemmasani – Rs 5,705 crore
2. D.K. Shivakumar – Rs 1,413 crore
3. Chandrababu Naidu – Rs 931.84 crore
4. Narayana Ponguru – Rs 824 crore
5. Suresha B.S. – Rs 684 crore
6. Gaddam Vivekanand – Rs 606 crore
7. Nara Lokesh – Rs 542 crore
8. Mangal Lodha – Rs 447 crore
9. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy – Rs 433 crore
10. Jyotiraditya Scindia – Rs 424 crore

The richest person on the list here is obviously Pemmasani Chandrashekar, who is a TDP MP and a member of the union cabinet. He had prior medical businesses in the United States which contributed to his wealth even before his political stint. 

Next in line, we have Karnataka deputy CM Shivakumar and AP chief minister Chandrababu. In the case of Chandrababu, his family owns Heritage which is one of the most significant diary companies in the world.  

Mangal Lodha and Jyotiradha Scindia are the only two North Indians on the list while the rest of the 8 members on the list are from South India. This is a pretty strong dominance of the South diaspora on the list.
