Diljith Donates 1 Crore To Buy Warm Clothes For Protesting Farmers

Bollywood actor from Punjab Diljith Dosanjh, who announced his support to farmers’ protest against the three agricultural bills, has reportedly come forward and donated Rs 1 Crore to buy warm clothes to protesting farmers in the severe Delhi winter.

While Diljith kept the news of his donation to farmers underwraps, it was Punjabi singer Singga who took to his Instagram stories to heap praises on Diljith for his generous act. Singga said in Punjabi, “Thank you brother, you gave Rs 1 crore for the farmers, for their warm clothes, and nobody knows. You didn’t post about it. Nowadays people can’t shut up after donating Rs 10.”

This is not all. Diljith had also joined farmers’ protest on Saturday at Delhi border. Farmers across Punjab have taken to streets and reached Delhi protesting against the Centre’s farm bills. While the Union Government is holding talks with the protesting farmers, farmers are in no mood to settle for changes in the bills and are demanding the revoking of the three bills with immediate effect. The government is going to hold the next round of talks with protesting farmers on December 9. Meanwhile, the farmers have called for Bharat Bandh on December 8 across the nation and several Opposition parties, farmers unions, activists have supported the Bharat Bandh.

Diljith was in news when he got into an ugly feud with Kangana Ranaut online. Diljith became popular with films like Udta Punjab and Good Newwz. His generous act towards farmers has become a talking point.
