Sai Reddy’s Channel, For Whom Is He Preparing Ground?

More than an year ago, Vijaysai Reddy spoke about starting his own media house. Finally, he started taking baby steps in that direction. Today, he announced starting a digital media platform in Telugu, Hindi, and English.

He also announced that the plan is to launch a Telugu satellite news channel later on.

Speaking about his vision for this platform, Sai Reddy said, “This platform will be balanced, unbiased and committed to the truth. Our aim is to give a voice to the people and highlight real issues that matter to the common man, women, youth, farmers, workers and the underprivileged. The platform will remain independent and will not align with any political party”.

Media neutrality is a myth in the country. Every channel is affiliated to one party or the other here.

Further, when a channel is headed by a cutthroat politician like Vijaysai Reddy, Media neutrality will be a joke.

The question is for whom he will be working for.

YSR Congress previously alleged that Sai Reddy is working at the behest of Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan publicly commented that he is sold out.

Back then, there were rumors that he would join the BJP and Chandrababu Naidu blocked his entry into the party.

BJP has got the Rajya Sabha seat that fell vacant due to Sai Reddy’s resignation. Many thought he would get the same seat after changing the party.

As long as the Central Government is dependent on TDP’s numbers, Chandrababu will not allow him to join TDP, Janasena, or the BJP.

We can also not rule out him going back to YSR Congress if the party wins 2029.

Sai Reddy differed with Jagan and quit the party only after YSR Congress lost 2024 elections. Many even till date think he is just shielding himself from the cases and other repercussions from a hostile Government by coming out of YSR Congress.

Above all, these days, the Ministry of Home Affairs is not giving permissions for News Channels easily. If Sai Reddy gets it somehow, we should suspect BJP is moving its pawns with Sai Reddy and may admit him at appropriate time.
