The HYDRAA independent body that was commissioned by Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy is one of the most dynamic and aggressive administrative groups in the state. The rate at which HYDRAA demolishing illegal constructions across Hyderabad city was very rampant.
However, there have been certain legal speed breakers to HYDRAA as petitions were filed against the same, saying certain demolition jobs were out of legal range. The most recent demolition at the Aminpur region invited a lot criticism as well.
Now the matter has reached the Telangana High Court and the bench has issued a pretty strong verdict on the same.
Telangana High Court has ordered the HYDRAA department not to carry out any more demolition activities till further orders are released. This would essentially mean that the independent body will have to be and cannot carry out any demolition jobs till further orders are issued by the Telangana High Court.
The High Court pointed out that the HYDRAA body crossed its legal boundaries while demolishing a few properties and reprimanded it from continuing on the job in the foreseeable future. This could be regarded as a big break to the operational activities of HYDRAA momentarily.
