Preliminary arrangements for conducting municipal elections in the state have commenced. The process of delimiting divisions and wards across the 13 Municipal Corporations, 87 Municipalities, and Nagar Panchayats has begun. Currently, there are 3,206 divisions and wards within these bodies. As a result of this delimitation exercise, the total number of divisions and wards is projected to rise to 3,942.
