Big Day For ‘TVK Vijay’ – Can He Make a Difference?

Tamil politics are going to witness a very crucial development in the form of the assembly elections which are scheduled to be held tomorrow, April 23. The results will be out on May 4, and the expectations could not have been any higher on the same.

The most important factor here is that this year’s assembly polls in Tamil Nadu are going to be largely consequential. On one hand, the ruling DMK is in alliance with Congress while the opposition AIDMK is very hopeful of gaining power and they have BJP on their side.

The entry of Tamil actor Vijay has also significantly change the landscape. He is not expected to create wonder symptoms of Assembly seats, but he is likely to have a significant say in the voting patterns and might well have a pretty strong voting percentage on his side. 

This is going to be the big deciding day for TVK Vijay tomorrow as the polling will start early in the morning and go on till late in the evening. If the voting percentage is significantly higher than the previous term, then this could mean, anti-incumbency and it would further fuel the prospect of Vijay who’s fighting as an independent entity. 

Vijay has been repeatedly saying he left the luxurious life as a cinema superstar to enter politics, and he is hopeful of creating an impact in the same. But the real question is whether the people of Tamil Nadu are truly believing him, and whether they would actually vote for his TVK. 

Many survey agencies are projecting a single digit turn out for Vijay’s party in Assembly election. However, his parties supporters are projecting a double digit outcome. A bit of clarity could emerge with the exit polls that are going to come out tomorrow evening and we might get a clearer picture of what’s what.
