Good News: Govt Talks Succeed, Buses Set to Hit the Roads

This week has been a really challenging one for the Telangana government as the Telangana Road Transport commission had called for an indefinite strike. The RTC employees demanded multiple assurance from Telangana government and went on strike, which got aggravated with the death of an RTC driver today.

This immediately, warranted a meeting between Telangana, government representatives, and the RTC JAC.

On one hand, the tensions were growing about the lack of RTC services in Telangana state, and on the other, the death of the RTC driver added pressure on the government to settle the matter.

Subsequently, the government representatives, Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Sreedhar Babu and others sat down for a meeting with the RTC JAC members a short while back.

It is being established in principal that the government was able to successfully complete the talks with JAC members and the RTC strike is going to be called off shortly. RTC buses from across Telangana are likely to begin the operations right from the first shift on Saturday, which is a positive development.
