Kavitha’s Well-Organized Attack on KCR, But…

Timing is the key in politics. And today, Kavitha Kalvakuntla demonstrated it when she launched her new political outfit Telangana Rashtra Sena ( TRS) as she threw down the gauntlet directly at none other than her father and former Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao, who heads the BRS party.

After announcing the name of her party amid cheers and slogans from thousands of supporters, Kavitha made her intentions very clear as she trained her guns towards KCR for the first time since her unceremonious expulsion from the BRS.

While caring a damn about prominent BRS leaders like KTR and Harish Rao, who were her prime targets all these days since her revolt, Kavitha has not showed any restraint this time to launch a scathing attack on their head honcho KCR.

When it is quite obvious and expected that Kavitha would surely take potshots at her political guru at one point of time in her journey, she seems to have seized the opportunity during this special occasion to announce her rivalry in what could be termed as a calculated and well-organized attack. This is indeed great political maturity and acumen at display according to political observers.

If we look at the way how Kavitha’s renewed political ambitions shaped up since her exit from BRS in the last few months, she has always made astute moves when it comes to taking the attack towards the BRS. After releasing from jail on bail in the high-profile Delhi liquor case, Kavitha initially started taking swipe at KCR’s coterie including KTR and Harish Rao.

Today, she didn’t hold back and came out all guns blazing to hit out at KCR for not fulfilling the aspirations and dreams of millions of Telangana people. She also lamented how KCR has changed drastically from being a determined and committed leader to a detached and inaccessible politician who never really cared about the struggles of the masses.

She openly stated that KCR is no longer the leader people once trusted and accused him of drifting away from public issues. She further referred to him as a Maramanishi (the robot).

Unlike YS Sharmila, who often blends personal rifts and politics while attacking his brother YS Jagan, Kavitha made sure that she is fighting only for the Telangana cause and highlighted how KCR led government had derailed the development due to corruption and poor governance. But, the big question now is how will KCR sympathizers react towards her direct attack ?

KCR was at the forefront of agitation towards achieving Telangana statehood and also the first CM of the state. Despite being in the opposition, KCR is a force to reckon with. All his die hard supporters didn’t think of Kavitha as a political opponent even after she revolted against the party. They maintained silence all these months.

With her incisive speech, Kavitha has now openly positioned herself as an alternative to KCR and other political bigwigs in the state. So, can she withstand what is coming her way from today ? Only time will tell the answer.
