BRS Calls Off Plenary At The Wrong Time

The plenary, which is held on the occasion of the formation day is generally regarded as one of the highest organisational events held by any political party in the country. This is particularly relevant for regional parties in order to maintain their foothold amongst the public.

However, the BRS party has done something unexpected and detrimental with regard to their plenary which was supposed to be held today.

Today happens to be the formation day of the BRS, and the natural expectation is that the party would have held a massive plenary to celebrate the occasion. This would have ideally been a perfect platform for KCR to interact with BRS supporters.

But this massive event, which had a lot of prospect associated with it was called off by the BRS top brass. KTR stated that KCR has instructed the party wing to avoid the plenary this year due to the massive heatwave across Telangana. It was made to seem like this was a socially conscious decision.

But this has led to comments that the plenary is generally held in the evening and late hours to avoid the summer heat. In fact, the recent public meeting held in Jagityal to welcome Jeevan Reddy was also held in the evening in KCR’s presence.

If the BRS really wanted to go ahead and show their polticial might, the formation day today would’ve been a great medium to hold the plenary but the party avoided the occasion strangely enough.

Also, the current political situation which has turned up the momentum due to Kavita’s recent event and her direct attack on the BRS leadership warrants the BRS meeting today. But party blatantly decided to avoid the same.

A few analysts are even pointing out that KCR might have even opted against this plenary today as people would be expecting him to answer to Kavitha’s criticism and he might not be in the mood or mindset for something like this now.

But whatever might be the reason, the BRS appears to have missed the golden opportunity of regaining momentum in Telangana politics with a massive scenery today. It should have been an absolute scene to watch KCR at his vocal best twice in a span of 10 days.
