Thalapathy Vijay shocked everyone by registering a sensational victory in Tamil Nadu. The way how he took on two strong Dravidian parties and came to power in his first elections itself is a story to tell.
Just before the elections, we have seen BJP go after Vijay in the name of Karur Stampede Case and without giving Censor Certificate to his Jana Nayagan movie to force him for an alliance but he did not budge.
Vijay’s victory will be of a big help to Kalvakuntla Kavitha who just floated her Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) Party.
She will be fighting her first election in 2028.
Kavitha is also pitted in the same scenario. She has to take on established political parties like BRS, Congress, and BJP and no one is ready to give her a chance.
But after Vijay’s victory, she will have the confidence that voters can always spring a surprise.
While she does not have Vijay’s film Charisma, Kavitha has experience and oratory skills with subject on her side.
Also, she can cite the example of Vijay and say no one can under-estimate her.
But all that claims will carry weight only when Kavitha work very hard on ground and give an impression that she is a serious politician.
Vijay floated his TVK Party 27 months before the Tamil Nadu elections. Kavitha had announced her new party around 30 months before the elections.
So, it is more or less the same time. But then, Vijay did not come out until eight months before the elections yet went on to win. But Kavitha will not have the luxury.
