Since this morning, the internet is flooded with videos of people standing in long queues at wine shops. Some videos of Andhra Pradesh too surfaced on the social media and for that instance even TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu too posted a video where social distancing is not being practiced.
These visuals caught the attention of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the officials are enquiring about the exemptions being given by the state government. The PMO officials have asked about the exemptions in non-containment zones and situation at wine shops whether social distancing and allowing five persons inside the shops at once is being followed or not.
Depending upon the information to be provided by state government officials, the PMO is likely to send recommendations and may also propose to implement lockdown norms in strict manner.
