Varma Removed As TDP Incharge, Good Decision Or Blunder?

Telugu Desam Party has taken a key decision as far as Pithapuram Constituency is concerned. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had decided to remove SVSN Varma from Pithapuram Incharge Duties.

An adhoc committee will be appointed with three members to oversee Pithapuram. Chandrababu Naidu is taking all care to avoid issues in the alliance but there is some issue or the other always in Pithapuram.

Varma alleges that Janasena local leaders are inducting YSR Congress leaders into the Party and those leaders are trying to dominate and decimate TDP in the constituency.

Recently, Varma entered into a tussle with Pendem Dorababu who recently joined Janasena from YSR Congress for missing out Chandrababu Naidu’s Pictures in the Banners of an Official Program.

Many such incidents prompted Chandrababu Naidu to take this decision.

SVSN Varma is a Chandrababu Naidu loyalist. He sacrificed the Pithapuram seat for Pawan Kalyan and worked hard for the latter’s victory. Even Pawan Kalyan also acknowledged his role in his win in Pithapuram after the election.

Varma was promised an MLC before the election. But later on, there were attempts to downsize him in the constituency so that Pawan Kalyan can feel secured in his own seat.

Whenever an issue happens in Pithapuram, Chandrababu Naidu would reprimand Varma but there is no instance of Pawan Kalyan schooling his Party leaders.

Chandrababu Naidu is worried if the issues surrounding Varma may impact the alliance and so, sacrificed him for Pawan Kalyan. YSR Congress do not have a proper leader in Pithapuram and so, Varma most likely will join the Party sooner or later.

This is an okay decision if the alliance continues but if it is foiled at some stage in future, TDP will lose a constituency and may have gifted a strong leader to YSR Congress.
