Too Much Attention On Trisha, Moral Bankruptcy Of The Society?

After so much of drama over the last five days, Thalapathy Vijay took oath as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today morning. He took oath and delivered a cinematic style maiden speech impressing everyone.

Unlike Tamil politicians who always wear white doti and veshti, Vijay appeared in a Black Blazer for the Swearing-in ceremony bringing a fresh change.

That aside, Trisha’s attendance at the event has hogged the limelight and complete media attention.

Except for few who happens to be Vijay’s friends, there is no big face the industry at the event in Nehru Stadium.

There have been long-standing unverified rumours about Vijay and Trisha’s relationship. Reports also claimed that Vijay’s estranged wife, Sangeetha, alleged that an actress played a role in their marital issues, though no name was mentioned officially.

This victory however changed everything in favor of Trisha. Ever since TVK emerged as the Single Largest Party, Trisha was in focus.

The media was in a hurry to project her as the second power center, candidate for the second seat which will be vacated by Vijay, and even the Deputy CM of Tamil Nadu. Everyone wants a visual or byte of Trisha wherever she goes.

Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha and his two kids were absent at the oath ceremony but no one would really care. The cameras were on Vijay and Trisha only. For most, she is already the First Lady of the State. Probably, that’s what Power can do in India.

If the same Vijay lost this election, Trisha would have been a home-breaker and everyone would have been baying for her blood.

But now, she is the glamor doll and everyone from the media to the celebrities wants to be in her good books.

No one can really imagine the trauma faced by Vijay’s wife and especially the kids. No matter whatever happened between Vijay and her, it would have been emotionally difficult for the family even for vijay too.

Not judging Trisha in this issue, as nothing has been officially confirmed regarding these rumours. Perhaps this mindset and approach reflect the moral bankruptcy of the society we live in.
