Final Test Done: CM Vijay Scores Big Win in Assembly

Tamil Star Thalapathy Vijay created history by becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu in his very first election campaign. This is a remarkable result, as this is the first time in recent history that we are seeing a politician becoming the chief minister in very first attempt.

However, the series of events after the election were not straightforward as Vijay had to fight really hard to sustain the position.

On that note, Vijay had to undergo a Number test in the assembly today, and this was not an easy task by any means. He had to secure the alliance of multiple small parties, including the national party Congress and the whole scenario was tense at one point.

However, the latest news is that Vijay has finally managed to clear the numbers game in Tamil Nadu assembly as he could prove his strength.

TVK has successfully cleared floor test in assembly as 144 MLAs polled in favour of TVK. This is largely due to the fact that 25 of the AIDMK MLAs who had differed with EPS are working with TVK now. They could be directly supporting TVK from the exterior.

Now that the floor test has been completed, and Vijay is the leader of the house, he doesn’t have any major challenges in terms of lawmaking. It will all come down to execution and effective governance from now on.
