The Indian Media is largely explosive and sensational in nature as there is this constant need to break out new news and maintain the TRP game. But that did not reflect in latest development with regard to the Uttar Pradesh state in India.
According to the latest reports, over 117 people are reportedly dead due to the severe rainfall and thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh.
This is an organising condition and relentless rescue operations are being carried out across the parts of the state.
However, the shocking thing here is that despite the massive death count and the sufferable human loss, Indian media, particularly the national channels did not cover any of these news in a mainstream manner.
In fact, many people did not even know about the massive human loss until Russian president Vladimir Putin shared a condolence message on Twitter. This was when the news broke out, and it was quickly established that more than 100 people had died due to rain in Uttar Pradesh.
With such a massive human law recorded in UP people would have expected the Indian media to blow up the same, but that did not happen. The selective silence on this matter has drawn public negativity as people are questioning the integrity of the news channels.
