Veteran Congress leader Jana Reddy is the most in-demand politician in Telangana now. With the passing away of Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah, the by-election is around the corner. Eyeing this by-poll both TRS and Telangana BJP have contacted Jana Reddy and invited him to their parties.
Having held talks with both parties, Jana Reddy is said to have placed his demands before them. First to the Telangana BJP, Jana Reddy has reportedly asked for a Governor post and in place of him, his son Raghuveer would contest the by-poll from Nagarjuna Sagar. With this demand, the Telangana BJP said to Jana that they would discuss this proposal with the BJP leadership in New Delhi and rivet back.
And to the TRS, the former Home Minister has asked for a Rajya Sabha seat. Jana made it clear that he wanted a proper assurance from none other than TRS chief KCR on the Rajya Sabha seat and then would take a call on joining TRS.
Adding twist to the tale, Jana Reddy is informing his followers that he is going to stick to Congress party but the decision to contest the by-poll is yet to be taken. The only clarity here is Jana Reddy’s son Raghuveer Reddy will make his political entry.
