Did Rajinikanth Plot Against TVK Vijay?

Superstar Rajinikanth finally broke the silence about feeling jealous of Thalapathy Vijay. Ever since Vijay’s TVK party in the recently concluded TN Assembly polls, there have been these speculations doing the rounds.

Moreover, right after the election results, Rajinikanth went and met MK Stalin, but not Vijay, which has triggered the speculations more. Finally, Rajini said that there is a 25-year age gap between the two and there is no chance of jealousy.

“Rajini is not a cheap or low-standard person to speak unnecessarily about anything else. I was extremely shocked when I heard that Vijay had become the Chief Minister. As soon as the Chief Minister won, I congratulated him. I’m not even in politics, so why would I be jealous of Vijay? Maybe if Kamal becomes the CM, I might get jealous. There is a 25-year generation gap between Vijay and me. It won’t look good if we compete,” said Rajinikanth.

The issue also began drawing comparisons that Rajinikanth wanted to float a political party back in 2018 but then later decided to withdraw from it. Rajini announced that he has no plans of making a political entry and would be staying away from that.

Many commented that if Rajini had stayed and established a party, he would have won. Vijay’s success is being shown as an example now. Also, this is not the first time that Vijay and Rajinikanth have made headlines.

Even when both actors are enjoying the peak status in their careers, there used to be a healthy competition, and the fans offline would compare the box office numbers of the two.

“Rumors started spreading that I said Vijay shouldn’t become CM or that I was trying to merge two parties. Some are saying that I didn’t wish him at the airport when I already wished him on X,” he said.

In a recent incident, when Rajinikanth was traveling somewhere, a few people at the airport asked him about his reaction to Vijay becoming CM. Without giving an answer, Rajini just smiled and many are taking this silence as jealousy but the Superstar has given a clarity for once and all.
