Congress leader Rajesh Kumar created an awkward moment during the Tamil Nadu cabinet oath taking ceremony under Chief Minister Vijay’s Presence. While taking oath as minister he raised slogans praising Rahul Gandhi and Kamaraj inside the Raj Bhavan premises.
Tamil Nadu Governor immediately objected to the act and reminded him that such political slogans are not part of the official oath. The Governor reportedly asked him to stick to the constitutional format during the ceremony.
The unexpected episode quickly grabbed political attention as videos from the swearing in ceremony started circulating widely on social media. The moment triggered mixed reactions from both Congress supporters and opposition parties.
Congress leaders defended Rajesh Kumar saying he only expressed gratitude towards leaders who inspired him politically. However critics argued that constitutional ceremonies should remain completely free from political slogans and party messaging.
The incident once again sparked debate over political conduct during official government events. At a time when Tamil Nadu politics is already witnessing intense heat this latest controversy added fresh buzz to the state political scene.
