I Stopped Prof. Nageshwar’s Arrest: Pawan Kalyan

Earlier in the day today, there were multiple Media reports that Andhra Pradesh police had arrived in Hyderabad to arrest Professor Nageshwar Rao, who had earlier said Pawan Kalyan approached Amit Shah to arrest Jagan.

However, this news was condemned by the Andhra Pradesh Fact check department and also home minister Anitha. However, the latest comment from deputy CM Pawan Kalyan directly contradicts this.

Speaking with Jaina leaders today, Pawan Kalyan said he came to know that Andhra Pradesh Police had tried to arrest professor Nageswara Rao, and he was the one who stopped them.

“I still have respect for Professor Nageshwar Rao and requested the Police is not to take any action on him. He might have spoken out of different emotions, and I do not want to enforce the police on him. In fact, I went to his daughter’s wedding.” Pawan Kalyan said.

The fact that Pawan Kalyan confirmed that Andhra Pradesh Police were about to arrest Professor Nageshwar directly contradicts the earlier fact check issued by AP authorities.

At the same time, this can be considered as a positive development as any kind of Police action on Nageshwar Rao could have invited public backlash.

Earlier, the YCP government faced a lot of complaints for police abuse and misuse. This was luckily averted by the NDA government, thanks to Kalyan’s last minute intervention.
