Today marks the exact two years anniversary of the resurgence of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh and things haven’t been the same since. By this time, a couple of years ago, the historic verdict of Andhra Pradesh public was delivered and it was clearly in favour of the NDA.
The historic result, which resulted in YCP getting relegated to 11 seats while NDA returned to power with 164 seats has changed virtually everything.
At one point, it looks like removing YS Jagan from power would be impossible for any political force, but in the end his own misdeeds and the amalgamation of Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh did the job.
The historic Yuva Galam Yatra and the strong political wave amalgamated by Pawan Kalyan during the time of Chandrababu’s arrest were catalysts for YCP’s downfall.
Unlike the previous administration, which was primarily focused on destroying the capital prospect, and several other investment opportunities, the NDA is more on the progressive side.
There have been multiple investments, including fighter jet plant, Lulu and the highest of the lot, Google arriving in AP. The quantum hub in Amaravati, which is headed by IBM and Microsoft is also a game changer.
This stable alliance government is doing the job very much in favour of Andhra Pradesh and promising times have returned to the state at a crucial point in time. The big challenge is going to be to carry the momentum of the alliance into the election and then display strong leadership at the heart of it.
