It’s Happening: Andhra’s SGF Golden Age To Beat KGF?

The Kolar Gold fields, which abbreviate to KGF is coin term that turned famous after a super successful film with the same name from Kannada cinema. But even historically speaking the KGF had a rich legacy of producing some of the finest Gold in India a few decades ago.

Now it appears that the KGF chapter is done and dusted, and we have the SGF that is development in Andhra Pradesh, and this is the famous Swarnagiri Gold Field.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu launched the Jonnagiri goldfield today and he had a set of strong comments to make on multiple fronts.

The project, being developed by Geo Mysore Services and Deccan Gold Mines with an investment of ₹405 crore, is the largest private-sector gold mining venture in the country.

During the inauguration, the Chief Minister flagged off heavy vehicles carrying mineral-rich ore and visited the mining facilities, where he inspected the entire gold extraction and production process, from raw ore processing to the manufacture of gold biscuits.

Chandrababu said this is going to be the future of Indian gold extraction, and the word SGF will start to resonate with Andhra Pradesh and its rich mineral resources from now on.

This project is expected to create 700 jobs and subsequently produce 750–1,500 kg of refined gold annually. Babu says this is going to be the future of gold mining sector in India and the good returns will be cultivated in the near future.

After years of hibernation till 2024, Andhra Pradesh is finally getting back on track with multiple investments and projects which is a very positive turn of events to the state economy.
