Jagan Is Trying His Best to Stay Close to Pulivendula

The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently in his hometown of Pulivendula and he will be here for a total duration of 3 days. This happens to be one of his many visits to Pulivendula in the recent couple of years after losing as CM in 2024.

Jagan had been primarily focused on consolidating his vote bank in Pulivendula, and he has been doing everything in his capacity to do the same. Frequent meetings with lower level leadership and party cadres, followed by roadshows are a constant feature.

Jagan even took on a Hindutva campaign as he took part in the inauguration ceremony of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in the nearby locality. He was seen with a bright red Tilak on his face on the occasion.

The former CM even launched a roadway project that was constructed using the MP funds from YS Avinash Reddy, and this was held amidst a significant public gathering there.

Jagan is evidently trying his best to stay close to the people of Pulivendula, considering his political slip of here. His majority fell by nearly 50% from 2019 to 2024, as he secured one of the least majorities for him here in the recent elections (61,000 votes).

The TDP has been consistently focusing on the Pulivendula constituency through the local candidate, BTech Ravi which might’ve triggered Jagan to a considerable margin. So the counter effects are very significant here.
