Revanth Reddy Smartly Turns Gumpu Mesthri Troll In His Favor!

In the initial days of coming to Power, Revanth Reddy, on one occasion, went on to say that a Chief Minister is nothing but Gumpu Mesthri.

Revanth Reddy used it to describe himself as someone who leads and organizes a team in layman terms. But then, the BRS made it a troll on the Chief Minister.

KTR and Harish Rao use it mockingly to imply he is more of a “gang boss” or “crowd mobilizer” than a dignified statesman or administrator.

Sometimes, it even appears like they are tying it to his lower-profile background.

The BRS Social Media teams were also using the name to mock/troll Revanth Reddy. But then, the Chief Minister smartly used it against them in a speech the other day.

“Yes, I am a Gumpu Mesthri… This whole crowd/group is mine, and it is my strength,” Revanth said.

“Many ridiculed me for saying that. Yet, I am not hurt. Some people boast about being ‘Doras’ (feudal lords) and owning ‘Gadis’ (fortified mansions). I, however, prefer to be called ‘Revanth-anna’. People address even the Chief Minister as ‘Anna’ only when there is genuine affection and fondness,” he explained.

Revanth Reddy smartly used a troll against him to damage the Opposition. He gave it a positive twist saying ‘Gumpu Mesthri’ is a leader of the people/masses rather than an elite “Dora” (landlord).

Next time, when the Opposition calls him ‘Gumpu Mesthri’, we will see the Congress portray them as elitists which will cause political damage.
