Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked people for supporting his recent appeal made in view of the West Asia crisis. He said the response from citizens has been encouraging and reflects the spirit of national responsibility.
Modi had earlier urged people to avoid buying gold for one year and reduce unnecessary spending on imported products. He said these steps would help conserve the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
The Prime Minister also appealed to people to save fuel by using public transport, carpooling and electric vehicles wherever possible. He stressed that every small effort can make a big difference.
He further encouraged people to prefer domestic tourism over foreign trips and continue supporting Vocal for Local. He said such decisions will strengthen the Indian economy.
Modi appreciated citizens for responding positively to these suggestions. He expressed confidence that collective efforts by the people will help India face global economic challenges more effectively.
