Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a bold declaration saying that the rejuvenation of Musi river is his life goal. Speaking at a public meeting in Nalgonda district on Sunday, he said he is determined to clean the river at any cost.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the severe pollution issues affecting people in Nalgonda due to Musi river contamination. He said the project is essential to provide relief to the residents who have been suffering for years.
He also referred to major river cleaning projects in India including Sabarmati in Gujarat, Yamuna in Delhi and Ganga in Uttar Pradesh. He said Musi rejuvenation will be developed on a similar large scale model.
The Chief Minister said that Musi project will become a showcase for the entire country. He added that every visitor to India in future should see the Musi rejuvenation project as a landmark development.
Revanth Reddy stated that the project will be completed despite any obstacles or lack of support. He said no opposition or challenge will stop the execution of the plan.
He also made strong remarks warning those who try to obstruct the project, saying the government will push forward firmly to achieve the goal of transforming Musi river.
