CM Vijay Sets Aside Fellow Actor From Trichy?

Film superstar, Thalapathy Vijay has created history by getting elected as the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu in the recent assembly election, and he is holding this position of power with great integrity.

The political maturity of Vijay came on display again when his fellow actor Raghav Lawrence was rumoured to contest from Trichy East constituency and potentially be promoted as the deputy CM.

However, in an official clarification from Lawrence himself today, it is established that it is not right for him to contest directly in Trichy while many leaders who had worked hard for the party are left in the dark. He confirmed that he would not be contesting on TVK behalf until he earns his spot.

This is a very calculated and mature decision from Vijay at the fundamental level as encouraging fellow actor Lawrence while sidelining hardworking leaders would be a blunder.

One of the main factors that built Vijay’s political legacy is his tenacity to give MLA and MP ticket to commoners and send them to upper houses. If he goes for the VIP culture, now and brings star candidates, then the purpose would be defeated.

So Vijay has worked out a good strategy to stay in tune with the common folk and the longer he maintains this stand, the more beneficial it will be for the TVK functionaries.
