The Tamil Nadu government led by Vijay has taken another notable step by barring political party cadres and private individuals from entering government school classrooms and conducting events on school premises. The decision aims to keep educational institutions free from political influence.
This is being seen as yet another positive initiative under the TVK government. The focus is for ensuring that schools remain dedicated only to learning and the overall development of students.
Interestingly, Andhra Pradesh has already witnessed a similar approach under Education Minister Nara Lokesh. Soon after taking charge, Lokesh made it clear that there would be no place for political posters or party banners inside educational institutions.
He also stressed that school textbooks should not carry the names or photographs of political leaders. The objective was to prevent classrooms from becoming platforms for political promotion.
Despite belonging to different states and different political backgrounds, both Vijay and Lokesh have adopted a common approach when it comes to protecting the academic atmosphere in schools.
Such decisions send a strong message that education should stay above politics. Students deserve classrooms that inspire knowledge rather than political affiliations.
