Public Talk: Jagan Should Have Visited Mudragada Earlier

Veteran Kapu Leader Mudragada Padmanabham passed away in a Private Hospital of Hyderabad while getting treated for a Prolonged illness. Tributes are pouring in for the Departed Soul from everybody.

Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy phoned his son, Giribabu and offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. But then, Jagan has come under strong criticism for the way he dealt with Mudragada.

Mudragada was someone who did so much for Jagan. Between 2014-19, Mudragada cornered the then Chandrababu Naidu Government in the name of Kapu Reservations issue. The issue defamed the Government with the Ratnachal Torching issue and the incidents that happened during the Police action that took place after Padmanabham’s fast.

He dropped the Reservations issue immediately after Jagan came to Power. Padmanabham was terminally ill for a very long time but Jagan did not even visit him in the hospital. It is not the first time but Jagan never really gave the respect Mudragada deserves.

Mudragada is his father’s age and is a very senior politician. Jagan did not even go to his house to invite to the party. Mudragada had to go all the way to Tadepalli to get the party scarf.

Later, He wanted to campaign in all the constituencies which had highest Kapu population but Jagan said No.

YSR Congress set up a camera and a reporter at Mudragada’s house and he would only give media comments and interviews criticizing Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.

Finally, the entire community isolated him and he had to also bear the humiliation of having to change his name. Even then, Jagan does not give him any respect.

Jagan ignoring Mudragada in his final days has become the Talking Point ever since the news of his demise came out.
