It is already known that the Cockroach janta party was able to create a significant social media wave in India, a couple of months ago. Things became mainstream after this party, decided to hold a protest against education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan demanding his resignation over the recent NEET question paper leakage.
The interesting thing here is that one of the most respected environmentalists in India Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest on behalf of the Cockroach party. In fact, he even launched an indefinite hunger strike until this education minister resigns.
At first, there wasn’t much public support for this movement in the first place. But with the medical condition of this environmentalist, starting to deteriorate after reaching 16 days of fasting, a slow social media moment is starting.
More and more people are starting to post about this while celebrities are also slowly expressing their opinions. Former chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal arrived at Jantar Mantar, where the protest is currently being held and this is a signing feat.
This is slowly turning out to be a social media evolution and is expected to climax when Sonam and the rest of the protesting members are staging a protest at the Indian Parliament.
The government of India and the union cabinet is not taking much pressure on this matter for now, but if the social media revolution catches up and the public movement matches it, there could corrective action.
