Thalliki Vandanam Straight 2nd Year, A Big Plus for Kutami!

The Andhra Pradesh government has started releasing Thalliki Vandanam funds for the second consecutive year, giving a major boost to the alliance government’s image.

Under the scheme, financial assistance is being credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible mothers whose children study from Class 1 to Intermediate Second Year. Unlike the previous YCP government, there is no limit on the number of children in a family. Every eligible student will receive the benefit.

After school and college maintenance deductions, ₹13,000 per student is being transferred directly to mothers’ accounts.

This year, around 67.47 lakh students will benefit from the scheme. The government is releasing ₹10,120.78 crore into the accounts of 42.70 lakh mothers, with the transfer process continuing until July 24.

Reacting to the rollout, Education Minister Nara Lokesh said children are the state’s biggest asset and education is its greatest investment. He thanked every mother working hard to educate her children.

With the scheme entering its second straight year and covering every eligible child in a family, Thalliki Vandanam is emerging as a major welfare initiative and a big positive for the Kutami government.
