Local Polls Fever Catching Andhra Pradesh!

It has been just about a couple of years since Andhra Pradesh delivered a historic verdict in the 2024 assembly election, which was overwhelmingly in favour of the NDA alliance. And now we are preparing for another small scale electoral campaign in the form of local body polls.

The stage is being prepared for the upcoming local body elections, and we have a clear update on the same now.

First, the municipal elections will likely be held from the second week of September and an official communication to this effect is likely to be made soon. This will be a crucial passage in Andhra Pradesh politics as municipal elections have a lot of urbane population markers that will validate the 2 years rule of NDA.

This will be closely followed by the sarpanch election in the second week of October. This will be the most decisive outcome in the local body election, as this will reflect the mood of the rural population who are pretty much deciding factor in Assembly election.

This whole procedure could be held in multiple stages or a span of 40 days, and the clear schedule is likely to be announced soon.

In the meanwhile, the leaderships of the TDP, BJP and Janasena would be actively preparing for the same. On the other hand, even why is Jagan has made it extremely clear that not a single local body seat must go in unanimous favour as he says YCP must field their candidates in all segments, regardless of what happens.
