YSR Congress is doing all that it can to alienate Amaravati from the people of other areas like how they did between 2014 and 2019.
We have seen Jagan Mohan Reddy openly spew venom on the region and announce the 2029 election would be between Amaravati and his MAVIGUN.
Now, YSR Congress Senior Leader Dharmana Prasada Rao went a step ahead and tried to create confusion in the Public.
Speaking at a Pressmeet, he said, “The entire state’s wealth was spent on Hyderabad back then. We were driven out by the selfish desire that the development of a region should benefit only its own people. Now, we cannot say for certain that the people of the Amaravati region won’t drive out people from other regions in the future”.
So this is a new ploy to create aversion over Amaravati. If the people living in the Capital will drive others out, people of MAVIGUN can also do that.
No state in the country can have a capital where spending is equal across all regions. Every capital city naturally receives higher investment than the rest of the state. Incidents like Hyderabad would not happen if there were no politicians like Dharmana. They thrive on creating divisions among people and then reap political benefits from them, remarked a senior TDP leader.
Dharmana is the part of YSR’s Cabinet. It was YSR who fanned Telangana issue by promising the state to come to power in 2004 elections.
Dharmana was a mute spectator when Congress hobnobbed with TRS back then and is now lecturing about states and capitals.
If he is so concerned about his region, he should first question Jagan why he dropped Vishakapatnam as the Capital
