With no proper agenda and with no public issues to raise, Jagan-led YSRCP is struggling to fight against the ruling AP government. The YSRCP protests against DSC recruitment itself drew severe flak and ire from various corners, including the DSC candidates and their families.
With the YSRCP failing to submit any proofs against alleged DSC irregularities, they’re fighting a losing battle. Jagan is still hell bent on his argument. Jagan and YCP have been trying to project its DSC protests as a movement led by the younger generation.
When Jagan claimed that Gen-Z is with them and asked AP govt to answer Gen-Z crowd, it has come in handy for Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh. Lokesh shared the pictures of the protesters from the YSRCP’s protests where elderly and aged people were seen. Lokesh mocked Jagan and questioned his Gen-Z narrative by posting on X,” Photos of ‘Gen-Z’ at @YSRCParty protests.”
TDP leaders have hit back, questioning the YSRCP’s attempt to portray its protests as a youth-led movement. The whole issue has given the ruling TDP another opportunity to target Jagan and the YSRCP, pointing to what it describes as the opposition party’s decreasing support among youth and Gen-Z.
