Duvvada Calls Minister “Ambothu,” Speaker Smiles!

One of the main reasons behind the hammering defeat for the YSR Congress in the 2024 assembly election is the extreme abuses that several YCP leaders had towards their opponents.

Andhra Pradesh people got fed up with YCP ministers and leaders sitting in front of the media and abusing Chandrababu, Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan, almost on a daily basis. This reflected in the extreme result that YCP had gained as they slipped from 151 seats to 11 seats.

However, it appears that this resounding lesson has still not shown any significant impact on the YCP ecosystem. This is to be understood from the statement made by Duvvada Srinivas in the legislative council today.

This individual might have resigned to YCP, but he’s still very much a YS Jagan sympathiser. He has even been giving indications that his realities will continue to be with YSR Congress in the future as well. Incidentally, he crossed the verbal line while speaking in the council today.

During his speech in the council today, Srinivas referred to minister Atchannaidu as “Aambothu” (ox). “Aa ambothu ni rammanandi” were the words uttered by Srinivas in the house today. This was an extremely regressive choice of words from the YCP MLC.

This happened in the presence of the newly appointed Deputy Chairman, who smiled in the Council and also happens to be a YCP candidate. The fact that a YCP sympathiser MLC made such an audacious comment in the presence of the new Deputy Chairman is certainly not a good optic for Jagan.
