Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has once again surprised everyone with an unexpected move. In a rare gesture, he left his designated Chief Minister’s seat in the Assembly and chose to sit alongside his ministers.
Such a sight is certainly unusual in the Assembly. The Chief Minister is normally given a separate seat close to the Speaker, while ministers sit in their designated row.
Vijay, however, briefly sat in his regular seat before moving to the ministers’ row and interacting with them. The visuals quickly grabbed attention on social media.
This is not the first time Vijay has taken a different approach after entering politics. Right from the beginning, he has been trying to present himself as a leader who wants to stay closer to the people and his team.
His style of functioning is also becoming a talking point. Instead of maintaining a highly formal image, Vijay appears comfortable with making gestures that break the usual political conventions.
The transparency in his public approach is slowly earning him appreciation among sections of people. Whether it translates into strong political support is something that will be known with time.
For now, Vijay seems determined to do things his own way. From his Assembly conduct to his public interactions, the new CM is certainly giving people plenty to talk about.
