Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is widely regarded as the CEO CM in India. There is a very good reason behind this, as Chandrababu is not for his business friendly approach when it comes to the investment index.
Considering the fact that he was successful in bringing some of the biggest companies in the world, including Microsoft to the Telugu land is a testament to his CEO style of working mechanism.
And now it appears that Chandrababu is preparing for an interesting transition as he is preferring to be referred to as the water CM more than the CEO CM.
It also feels like a new phase in my long journey in public life. I have been called the “CEO Chief Minister” over the years. Yet, bringing water to parched lands, giving hope to our farmers, transforming agriculture and securing drinking water for generations to come will always remain my most cherished legacy, Babu said.
This comes on the back of the recent developments, including the main waterway projects in Andhra Pradesh, including the Veligonda and Polavaram projects.
Chandrababu is emphasising on creating irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh through these massive schemes and he’s a man on a mission. If he completes the Polavaram project successfully by 2027, as promised earlier, then his legacy amongst the irrigation sector will be beyond question.
Now it appears that Chandrababu is taking more pride in irrigation projects and helping the farmers in the drought affected areas than being referred to as the CEO CM.
The interesting switch here is that Nara Lokesh had been extensively focusing on business friendly approach and bringing big companies like his father in the 90s, while CBN has taken an agricultural approach.
