Janasena Enters Telangana’s Ongoing Political Battle

The Janasena party had been looking to get a grip in Telangana for many years, but this has not been happening. But this time, the party is putting genuine effort into gaining momentum in Telangana after having tasted tremendous success in Andhra Pradesh in 2024.

Today, Janasena has expressed dissatisfaction with the series of events involving the BRS and Congress at the Telangana Assembly. The Pawan Kalyan led party has called out both BRS and Congress for crossing the legislative line at the Assembly.

Telangana Janasena pointed out that MLAs were subjected to shocking manhandling, including their sarees being pulled, during the police action. Such treatment of elected representatives, particularly women legislators, is completely unacceptable.

CM & Home Minister, Revanth Reddy must immediately order an independent inquiry, and take strict action against those responsible. There can be no political protection for police excesses.

This was followed by Janasena’s attack on the opposition BRS as they said accountability cannot be selective. BRS MLC Madhu’s objectionable remarks, allegedly, against the Hon’ble Speaker are equally condemnable. Political frustration cannot justify insulting the dignity of the Speaker or the institution of the Assembly.

This Pawan Kalyan party had been looking to grow as an independent force in Telangana beyond the existing lines of the Congress and BRS. Interestingly, they are not partnering with the familiar BJP either in Telangana. This alliance is confined to Andhra Pradesh while JSP is preparing for individual battle in Telangana.

If this is an indication of what is to come, then the JSP could be raising more voice against the leading parties in the days to follow.
